What are Remarques?
Remarques are personal illustrations drawn by hand directly onto the limited
edition print, in which the artist highlights a detail of the print. Each
remarque is a custom drawing, and can dramatically increase the visual impact of
your print, as well as its value, due to this unique feature.

(close-up of remarque)
Inspired by a late afternoon thunderstorm in the French Quarter, “Twilight” portrays a male figure looking out of a window. Bogdanoff painted the outside scene detailing an upper floor balcony and dormer, which is typical of historic Vieux Carre structures, and modeled after his own New Orleans home. Ironically, Bogdanoff released this print approximately one week before Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, in preparation for a Labor Day Weekend that would normally bring hundreds of thousands of revelers to the French Quarter to celebrate Southern Decadence.
